These terms govern your use of the Majhi Sawari app, whether you're booking rides as a customer or accepting them as a driver.
You must be at least 18 years old to create a customer account, and at least 18 years old with a valid driving licence for your registered vehicle type to create a driver account. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials and OTP verification confidential.
Majhi Sawari is a technology platform that connects customers who need a ride, delivery, or hourly vehicle hire with independent drivers in and around Yeola. We are not a transport operator — each ride is a direct arrangement between the customer and the driver, facilitated through our app.
You may pay in cash directly to the driver, or online via UPI/card through our payment processor, Razorpay. Online payments are only confirmed once verified by our systems — see our Refund & Cancellation Policy for what happens if something goes wrong with a payment.
Drivers must hold a valid driving licence, vehicle registration, and any permit required by Maharashtra state transport rules for their vehicle type, and must keep this documentation current with us. Majhi Sawari reviews driver documents before approval but does not guarantee the ongoing validity of any driver's licence or permit — drivers are independently responsible for their own compliance.
Drivers keep 100% of the fare charged for a ride; Majhi Sawari does not deduct a commission.
Both customers and drivers are expected to treat each other respectfully. Accounts may be suspended or disabled for abusive behaviour, fraud, safety violations, or repeated verified complaints, following review of the relevant support ticket.
Majhi Sawari facilitates the connection between customers and drivers but is not a party to the transport service itself. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for the acts or omissions of drivers or customers during a ride. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under Indian law.
These terms are governed by the laws of India, with the courts of Maharashtra having jurisdiction over any dispute.
We may update these terms as the app evolves. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
