This policy explains what Majhi Sawari ("we", "us", "the App") collects when you use our customer or driver app, why we collect it, and who we share it with.
To create your account: your name, phone number (verified by OTP), and, for customers, an optional address and photo.
To match and complete a ride: your live location while the app is open and a ride is active, your pickup and drop points, and ride history (fare, route, timestamps).
To verify drivers: Aadhaar number and photo, driving licence, vehicle registration certificate (RC), a profile photo, and vehicle details. These are reviewed manually before a driver account is approved.
To process payments: your chosen payment method and, for online payments, the transaction reference returned by our payment processor (Razorpay). We never see or store your card number, UPI PIN, or bank credentials — Razorpay handles that directly.
Automatically: device notifications token (to alert you about ride status), app language preference, and basic diagnostic information if the app crashes.
We do not sell your personal data to advertisers or third parties.
If you choose to share a ride via a link, whoever holds that link can see the ride's live status, driver name, vehicle, and approximate location for the duration of that trip — never your phone number or the pickup verification code (OTP).
Ride history and account details are kept for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period afterward for accounting, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. Driver verification documents are retained for as long as required by applicable transport regulations.
